My experience with OhMyDosh

Now, it’s time for the exciting part that you’ve been waiting for. Here’s my review on my experience using OhMyDosh.

The Good (Don’t forget the ohmydosh referral)

When I first joined, there were several options available, some of which were completely free and hassle-free, like getting a SIM card from giffgaff for just 50 pence. The platform is an excellent way to make a quick, small amount of money. However, our focus isn’t solely on small amounts of cash; there are also opportunities to earn more by completing surveys. 

Additionally, there’s a daily prize of £10 called the “Daily Dosh” that one random member can win, but it does require a claim, so it could be missed easily. OhMyDosh has a very generous referral scheme that allows you to earn £5 when your friends or family sign up through your link and cash out £10.

I found that simply signing up and completing your personal profile and logging in every day earned over £5 if I started with a referral code.

The bad

To avoid losing money through automatic charges, it’s important to remember to cancel many of the offers. Out of the seven accounts I signed up for, five could be cancelled through their respective websites, while two required an email cancellation.

It’s crucial to read the details of the deals carefully, as some may be misleading. For instance, one offer promised a free item and £2.50 cashback, but clicking on the link presented me with a deal for three boxes at £7, which would have resulted in a loss. As I’m only interested in making money, it’s essential to be vigilant.

Another downside is that it’s supposed to take 45 days before earnings show up in your account, however some customers have reported it taking much longer and on odd occasions have also had deals fail to pay out without any explanation or notification. Luckily this does not seem to be the case generally, however. 

The surveys on this platform aren’t very lucrative, with an average pay of only 30 pence for 10 minutes, which is lower than most other survey sites. However, you can earn 50 pence or more from select surveys, so there are some exceptions.

Key Competitors to consider

One of OhMyDosh’s main competitors is TopCashback, another UK-based cashback site. My OhMyDosh Summary

Thankyou for making it this far! After my research I have come to the conclusion that OhMyDosh can be a great way to earn money, especially in the short term, however,  there are some limitations to keep in mind.

Firstly, while there are a variety of offers available on OhMyDosh, many of them are not exclusive to the platform. This means that you could potentially find the same offers elsewhere and not have to split the earnings with OhMyDosh. 

Secondly, some users have reported that the number of new offers available on the platform can dwindle after a few weeks.
